Sam Cooper
Pastor

Sam's entire ministry has been in South Carolina. Ordained for 32
years, he came to the First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner in
2003. His first call as pastor was to the Carolina and Clio
Presbyterian churches in Dillon and Marlbobo counties, respectively.
In addition to a pastorate at Bethel Presbyterian Church in
Walterboro, he has served as a College Chaplain (Presbyterian
College) and Executive Presbyter (New Harmony Presbytery). Sam
graduated from Erskine College (A.B. in history, 1972), Princeton
Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1976), and Columbia Theological
Seminary (D. Min., 1992). Sam and his wife of 32 years, Lily, have
three grown sons. He enjoys fishing and anything to do with boats.
Kristin Widrich
Associate Pastor

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Kristin graduated from Dickinson College
(B.A. English, 1996) and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (M.Div.
2004). Before moving south, Kristin
served as Director of Christian
Education at Lebanon Presbyterian Church in West Mifflin, PA;
Director of Children's Ministries at Pleasant Hills Community
Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA; and Pastor of Olivet
Presbyterian Church in West Elizabeth, PA. Kristin is eagerly
awaiting April 18 when she will be married to Michael Widrich. She
enjoys hiking, riding rollercoasters, eating chocolate, and cheering
the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tony Dunlap
Director of Music
Tony has been the Director of Music at our church for 17 years.
A native of Donalds SC, he graduated from Urskin college in 1977 (AB
Music) with a concentration in piano
and voice. He earned a
Master of Music Education from Winthrop University in 1981. He did
extensive post-graduate study at the University of Cincinnati
(Cincinnati Conservatory). Tony taught music at all levels in the
public schools for 20 years. Tony serves as Musical Director at the
Abbeville Opera House and enjoys performance and directing. He has
two grown children, a son and a daughter.
Sally Harvey
Secretary
Born in South Carolina and reared in Ohio, Sally returned home to
live with her grandparents in Columbia where she began work at The
State newspaper. After working as
Secretary to the Human Resource
Director at University Hospital in Augusta, she began a 20 year
career at Mead Westvaco.
She
worked there as secretary to the HR
Manager, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and
Environmental Education/Public Relations Coordinator. She came to us in 2003.
Sally and her husband, Dale, have three children and three
grandchildren, two of whom are twins. Sally is an active member of
the New Hope United Methodist Church and enjoys singing, gardening,
antiques, and spending time at the lake.
